原籍廣東開平,加拿大多倫多大學政治經濟系畢業,美國夏威夷大學政治學博土;曾為澳門理工學院理事會顧問;曾任教於美國馬里蘭大學、日本國際基督教大學、澳門大學和香港浸會大學。中文編著(包括合著和合編)有《澳門:超越九九》、《澳門華人政治文化》、《澳門政治與公共政策初探》、《當代中國經濟改革與社會發展》、《雙城記:港澳政治、經濟與社會發展》、《中國藏區的現代化:理論、實踐和政策》、《澳門回歸前後的問題與對策》、《澳門公共行政的改革》、《澳門的歷史、文化與社會》、《雙城記II——回歸後港澳的政治、經濟及社會發展》等。英文專著有The Political Culture of China's University Students 及 Macau in Transition: From Colony to Special Administrative Region;編著有 China in Transition: Issues and Policies 及 The China Threat: Perceptions, Myths and Reality。
Dr. Bruce Kam-Kwan KWONG is Assistant Professor of Public Administration at the University of Macau. He earned a Ph.D. in Public Administration from the University of Hong Kong, an M.Phil. in Government and Public Administration from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a B.Soc.Sc. in Government from the University of East Asia (Macau). His research focuses on elections, patron-client politics, policing, and public ethics in greater China. Dr. Kwong is the author of Patron-Client Politics and Elections in Hong Kong (Routledge, 2009) and translated John P. Burns’ book, Government Capacity and Civil Service of Hong Kong (Oxford University Press, 2010) into Chinese. He has also co-edited two volumes on socio-political affairs in Hong Kong and Macau following the handover. Dr. Kwong's articles have appeared in multiple journals including the Journal of Contemporary China, the Journal of Comparative Asian Development, the Journal of Current Chinese Affairs, and Chinese Law and Government.
